Today I was invited to speak at another TEDx event in the fall.   If you don’t know about TED, it’s that remarkable, nonprofit organization intended to promote and share innovative thinking and inspiration.  TED is dedicated, as they express it, to “Ideas Worth Spreading,” and it’s simply one of the most amazing organizations I’ve ever encountered.

From the first minute we enter preschool, we start learning to be good “followers.”  We’re taught to be good kids — listen to our teachers, follow the rules, and adopt a herd mentality.
